The Sacrament of Matrimony is a beautiful vocation and a lifelong commitment. Couples who wish to be married in the Catholic Church are asked to participate in marriage preparation to help them prayerfully prepare for this important sacrament and their life together.

Couples should contact the pastor at least eight months before their anticipated wedding date to begin the preparation process. This allows sufficient time for the required meetings, preparation, and other arrangements.

The Sacrament of Baptism is the first of the Sacraments of Initiation and welcomes us into the family of God and the life of the Church.

Parents who wish to have their child baptized are asked to contact the parish office to receive a Baptism registration packet and schedule a Baptism Preparation Class. This preparation helps parents and godparents understand the meaning of Baptism and their important role in nurturing their child's faith.

The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick brings the healing, strength, and peace of Christ to those who are seriously ill, facing surgery, or experiencing significant health challenges. It is not only for those who are near death.

If a loved one is hospitalized, seriously ill, or preparing for surgery, please contact the parish as soon as possible so that a priest may be available to provide the sacrament.

When calling, please provide the patient’s name, hospital and room number, along with any important information regarding their condition or anticipated surgery or hospitalization.

Please do not wait until an emergency or the final moments of life to request the Anointing of the Sick. We encourage families to contact us early so we can provide spiritual care and support when it is most needed.

Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA)

Are you interested in becoming Catholic, or are you an adult Catholic who has not yet received all of the Sacraments of Initiation?

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is a journey of faith that welcomes adults who desire to learn more about the Catholic faith and prepare to receive the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, the Holy Eucharist, and Confirmation.

Through prayer, Scripture, reflection, teaching, small-group discussion, and fellowship, participants grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and discover the richness of the Catholic faith.

OCIA is more than a class—it is the beginning of a lifelong journey of faith and discipleship, supported by the Catholic community.

Preparation for First Holy Communion begins in September. Children are required to complete two years of Religious Education before receiving the Sacrament.

In addition to their regular Religious Education classes, children will participate in Sacramental Preparation classes at the parish. These classes help children deepen their understanding of the Eucharist and prepare prayerfully to receive Jesus for the first time.

The Sacrament of Confirmation is ordinarily celebrated in the 10th grade. To prepare for this important sacrament, students are required to be enrolled in Religious Education classes for two years prior to Confirmation.

Through faith formation, prayer, Scripture, and sacramental preparation, students are invited to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ and grow in their understanding of the Catholic faith.
